#IReadItOnTheNetSoItMustBeTrue: Dane Cook was Hollywood’s 1st pick to play Deadpool.

I tweeted Mr Reynolds about this and am waiting for confirmation, but I read it on the internet, so it must be true!

Basically, I heard that if Hollywood actually got it’s way, the Deadpool live action movie that was “ehhh”, would have been much much different (and quite possibly, a whole lot better).

I recieved word from a source, who knows some one high up in the film industry, who knows someone else, who knows this other person, who probably doesn’t know anyone, that Mr Reynolds was actually not the first choice to play Deadpool… No.

So who did Hollywood actually wanted to play Deadpool?

Well, my source had confirmed in my dream the other night, that Hollywood was courting comedic legend, Dane Cook to don the red and black mask.

Yes, Dane Cook

Which, if you think about it, is an excellent choice. The character Deadpool is a “funny man” himself, often breaking that magical wall, and making us laugh with dirty (yet tasteful) adult jokes.

And Dane Cook is an actual comedian. He may be a comedian / actor now, but he started his career telling dumb ass jokes as a “comedian” !!

And what about Ryan Reynolds ?

He’s an actor! He’s not even an Actor “slash” comedian! We can’t even give him that slash title… So should he have even been on the short list of actors to play Deadpool?

Sure, one could argue that he could act, or pretend to be a comedian… But then that’s just too much work.

A comedian can just be himself, and with minimal effort, be that funny Deadpool character.

I *SMH* with a *HEH* when I think about what Mr Reynold has to go through in order to be funny.

It’s just silly..

Anyways. I’m still waiting to hear from Mr Reynolds on Twitter.. And maybe his his side of the story in 140 characters or less.

But in the mean time, what do you guys think? A Dane Cook Deadpool? Yay? Nay?

Lets go ahead and retweet this and share it with the world!
